Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Presented by Lear
CRUISE NIGHT

On Friday night, May 30, fans are welcome to come cruisin’ with the Detroit Grand Prix! Honoring Detroit’s rich automotive heritage while celebrating the car culture in the Motor City, the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear and the Detroit Auto Show are teaming up to bring a turbocharged car show to Downtown Detroit. The inaugural Detroit Grand Prix Cruise Night presented by the Detroit Auto Show will begin at approximately 6:30 pm on Friday night, May 30. More than 100 classic cars, customized rides, hot rods, muscle cars, exotic vehicles and more will be displayed on the actual race circuit as the free, family-focused event will bring a cruisin’ close to the opening day of action at the Grand Prix.
Incorporating the signature Turn 3 hairpin turn on the 1.7-mile Detroit Grand Prix street circuit, designated Cruise Night vehicles will drive onto the track once the racing activity has concluded for the evening and cruisers will take a parade lap of the Grand Prix track. The participating vehicles will then park and be on display on Jefferson Avenue until 8:30 pm on Friday evening. Fans will be able to enter the track surface free of charge to check out the cool vehicle display and enjoy a summer evening full of fun and automotive appreciation in the Motor City.
Highlights of the inaugural Detroit Grand Prix Cruise Night presented by the Detroit Auto Show include:
- Free access for fans on the Grand Prix track along Jefferson Avenue in Downtown Detroit to enjoy the cruisin’ car show
- Spectators will be able to access the track/Cruise Night car display area through the track crossing locations at Hart Plaza and Spirit Plaza
